HIGHLIGHTS FOR FALL ~ 2007
This Fall we are “Honoring our Senior Members” by highlighting their own stories. We thank Ed Phelps for helping us collect some wonderful memoirs from Seniors which will be highlighted at various services this Fall, live and on video!
Children are also valued members of our congregation. Children's Focus time has been an important addition to our regular service, followed by UUA curriculum activities for children in the play and art room.
****CHILDREN'S CHOIR OPPORTUNITY
Bernardston UU will offer a children's choir program this Fall with Beverly Phelps, our music director, learning new songs on the 4th Sundays of each month during the adult Arts and Activism Programs at the regular meeting time, 11:30-12:30.
WE WANT MORE ART!!
The addition of gallery walls and the art work of our neighbors has inspired our lives this past year. We also hosted art workshops enjoyed by our congregation and our community members. The Meetinghouse Community Gallery hopes to enter a second stage of activity with local artists participating in cooperative open studio and gallery hours. Call Annette to attend the artists organization meeting in September. 648-9574
Middle Eastern Dancing classes are taught by “Kismet” on Thursday evenings at the church. Contact number is 413-522-4563

About our ministers:
Rev. Albert Ciarcia has been serving our church for over 10 years on the 2nd Sunday of each month throughout the year. Al's wisdom runs deep having served the UU Church of Greater Bridgeport for 32 years and before that Norwich, CT and Central Park West, NYC. He currently is Minister Emeritus of the Bridgeport Church and also serves the New Britain, CT UU fellowship.
Minister, Steve Wilson is a Boston bred social justice activist with a Masters in Divinity in Social Ethics from BU. Steve has worked for The National Interfaith committee for Worker Justice and United for a Fair Economy in Chicago. He was recently Chair of the Unitarian Universalists for a Just Economic Community and has spent over 15 years as a human service provider for the developmentally disabled and mentally ill.
Steve presides on the first and third Sundays. Steve also serves the Rutland, VT congregation.
Fourth Sundays are devoted to local concerns, guest speakers, special arts programs, and time to be active instead of just listening! Fifth Sundays, when they occur, may or may not be scheduled. Check our website, or call 648-9574.
